Question :
I apologize in advance if anything in this question sounds vulgar or disgusting but i want help so i'm just going to say it like it is.
I 'm 16 and i've never had any problems with vaginal infections until now. yesterday it became inflamed and itchy. it's been really dry and i haven't had much discharge since this began. it feels extremely uncomfortable and putting vaseline on the area has been the only thing to make it feel a little better.
Could this be from masturbating? is this an infection from my hands not being clean enough? how can i get rid of this as soon as possible?
Answer :
1.Sounds like it could be an infection. You should talk with your doctor so he can prescribe you medication. I feel your pain no woman wants burning, itching, or dryness down there. Also, try baby ointment (the kind that's used for diaper rashes) it can help with the burning and itching.
2.My doctor said some women are just prone to getting them very easily. Yes, you seem to have a mild yeast infection. While uncomfortable it isn't really very serious. They sell things at most any store to help. They have medication to put inside of you that will make it go away, and creams for the outside to help sooth the condition. Putting random lubrication on that area is just another foreign substance that could make it worse. Your hands may have not been clean, you may have used a lubrication that annoyed her, or you just could have thrown off your natural balance by wearing the wrong underwear or sweating or diet. Some women just get thrown off easy. If over the counter doesn't work you can go to your doctor and get a pill that will clear it up in a few days. There really is no way out of it without going through at least a little bit of embarrassment, but it is normal and can happen often for the smallest reason depending on how sensitive your personal area is.
